Bosteels Brewery
KWAK
Kwak is a half-dark and half-light “semi-strong“ beer. It is a top fermented special with a distinctive malt taste and scent. Kwak is recognised by its amber color and delicate raisin and brandy flavor.
Founded in 1791 in the Flemish town of Buggenhout, Kwak has been brewed by the Bosteels family for seven generations. The brewing process uses three kinds of malt with the addition of a small proportion of white Canadian sugar. Served chilled at 13 °C in a traditional uniquely-shaped glass for ease in transport during horse and carriage times.
